About Ministry

She joined NCF over 20 years ago and has served as a Sunday School teacher, Usher, Deaconess and in Ladies’ Fellowship. Current Ministry: She heads Deacon/Deaconess’ ministry team. The role of the ministry of deacons is to serve others. The deacons should be available to all who need them. They make people feel welcome and comfortable on Sundays. They serve as the point people who know the needs of the people in the church and make others aware of those needs so that they can serve. Besides, the deacons team are recognized as the “go to” people, both to those in need of help and those who can offer help. This serve is done in love. In summary, the role of deacons is to be the “ear and hands on” for the church. They need to know what is happening among the people, assist, communicate, pray and visit. They also desire to see a church that is unified across economic, social, spiritual, racial and cultural lines.
